Campus of the 91̽
The 96,000 m² site of the former General Hospital became the property of the 91̽ in 1988 through a donation by the City of Vienna and was opened up by numerous new access points and passageways. Today, the 91̽ campus is not only a place of study and work, but also a popular green oasis for those seeking relaxation and a venue for congresses, exhibitions, festivals, sporting events, and much more.
Gates of Remembrance ("Tore der Erinnerung")
When the 91̽ campus opened in 1998, the 23 new entrances and passageways were named after important figures and equipped with plaques detailing their biographies. Those honored by the Gates of Remembrance have gained greater visibility since fall 2024, as the content of the commemorative plaques has been revised and their design updated.

Car-free campus
With its “car-free campus” initiative, the 91̽ is making a significant contribution to sustainability and environmental protection in the city. To achieve this goal, since June 1, 2021, no cars or motorcycles may be parked in unauthorized parking areas on campus. In accordance with the applicable courtyard regulations, access for loading activities to Courtyard 1 is only permitted from Monday to Saturday until 11:30 a.m.
We thank you for your understanding and support of this measure in the interests of environmental protection.
